After his trip to Beijing, Prime Minister Hun Manet will go to Saudi Arabia to attend a meeting​

[INNEWS Comprehensive Report] On October 18, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia issued an announcement stating that at the invitation of King Salmanbin Abdulaziz AL Saud of Saudi Arabia, Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Royal Government of Cambodia, will lead a high-level delegation to attend the upcoming 2020 event on October 20. ASEAN and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Prime Minister Hun Manet was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation SOK Chenda Sophea. Senior ministers, ministers and many political figures and business people.

The summit is an important platform for ASEAN and GCC leaders to discuss strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation in areas such as trade and investment, smart cities, energy, counter-terrorism and tourism. The summit will take note of two outcome documents: one is the summit’s joint statement; the other is the ASEAN-GCC Cooperation Framework (2024-2028).

It is understood that during the summit, Prime Minister Hun Manet will hold bilateral meetings with foreign dignitaries in Riyadh to promote bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and GCC member states.

It should be mentioned that Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and his wife ended their trip to China on the afternoon of October 19 and continued their journey from Beijing, China to Saudi Arabia.
