In addition, during his stay in New York, Hun Manet will also hold bilateral meetings with the Secretary-General of the United Nations and a number of foreign dignitaries.

Cambodian people living in countries such as the United States and Canada expressed warm welcome and strong support after learning that Prime Minister Hun Manet was about to attend the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly. They expressed great satisfaction with Hun Manet’s appointment as Prime Minister of the seventh Royal Government of Cambodia.

100 companies accompanied them to the United States

With Cambodia successfully controlling the spread of COVID-19 and reopening all markets in all sectors, as well as introducing new investment laws, Cambodia is currently implementing the Cambodia-China Free Trade Agreement, the Cambodia-Korea Free Trade Agreement, and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements and other policies, which also create opportunities to attract local investors to export products to the United States.

According to a report released by the General Administration of Customs of Cambodia, in the first eight months of 2023, Cambodia-US trade volume exceeded US$6.272 billion, a decrease of 5.6% from US$6.645 billion in the same period last year. In the first eight months of this year, Cambodia exported more than US$6.111 billion to the United States, while importing more than US$160 million from the United States.
