[INNEWS Comprehensive Report] On October 5, the Phnom Penh City Government issued an announcement announcing that it will provide 455 buses to transport people for free during Pchum Ben from October 12 to 16. According to the instructions of Prime Minister Hun Manet, the move aims to reduce the burden on people and workers. The Phnom Penh Municipal Government will provide 455 buses to transport people back to their hometowns and back to Phnom Penh for free.

Of these, 60 buses will provide services within the city, while another 395 buses will go to various provinces. The departure time is from 6:30 to 11:30 in the morning. The bus route includes Highways 1 to 8, and Highway 13 to other provinces.

In addition, the Phnom Penh Municipal Government calls on private passenger transport companies and taxi owners not to increase prices arbitrarily during the festival to reduce the financial burden on the people.

It is understood that every year during the Pchum Bun and Cambodian New Year holidays, the city government will dispatch vehicles for the Cambodian people to transport people back home for free from Phnom Penh to prevent the owners of passenger transport companies from raising fares.
