[INNEWS Comprehensive Report] After nearly 20 hours of flight, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and his wife arrived safely at Newark Liberty International Airport in New York on the morning of September 22. This is Prime Minister Hun Manet’s third overseas visit since taking office.
Personally greeted by Eat Sophea, Cambodia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, the hotel where Prime Minister Hun Manet stayed was warmly welcomed by the enthusiastic American Cambodian people. Hun Manet expressed his deep gratitude to all Cambodian people living in the United States and Canada for taking their precious time to wait and welcoming him in the warmest and most considerate way.
It is understood that the Cambodian people living in the United States and Canada warmly welcomed the visit of the delegation led by Prime Minister Hun Manet and firmly supported him as Prime Minister of the new Cambodian government.
On this trip to the United States, the high-level delegation led by Hun Manet and his wife aims to participate in the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly to be held in New York from September 21 to 25, 2023. In addition, Kith Meng, President of the General Chamber of Commerce of Cambodia, led nearly 100 companies to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly.
According to local media reports, all walks of life in Cambodia are very much looking forward to this meeting to bring more positive prospects and in-depth cooperation opportunities for Cambodia’s future.
