[INNEWS Comprehensive Report] As of September 22, 2023, Cambodia has refined more than 8,288 kilograms of gold, earning approximately US$13 million in royalties and taxes.
On September 25, Ung dipola, director of the General Administration of Mineral Resources of Cambodia, revealed that as of September 22, 2023, the six companies that had obtained gold mining licenses had extracted a total of 919 pieces of gold, equivalent to more than 8,288 kilograms. The companies paid about $13 million in royalties and taxes to the government. The six companies are: Renaissance Minerals (Cambodia) Ltd located in Keo Seima County, Mondulkiri Province and Rong Cheng Cambodian Company located in Chong Plas area; Xinshan and Delcom Cambodian Company located in Phnom Mlong area of Preah Vihear Province; Xing Yuan Cambodian Company Located in Kratie Province; LATE CHENG MINING DEVELOPMENT CO., LTD is located in the Phnom Ji area of Kampong Thong Province.
Ung Dipola said the six companies are refining gold in accordance with the plan agreed with the Ministry of Mines and Energy and complying with applicable laws and regulations without any problems. Among them, the Renaissance Minerals company in Mondulkiri Province has the highest production of more than 7846 kilograms, while the other five companies have less production.
