The bridge connecting Diamond Island and Treasure Island is about 3.5 kilometers long. Once completed, it will greatly ease the traffic pressure in the area and greatly promote the economic development of the Treasure Island Development Zone. In addition, it will also directly connect the city center and the Route 1 area, making travel more convenient and faster for residents. Construction of the bridge began on October 26, 2020, will last an estimated 35 months, and cost an estimated $38 million.
Undertaken by the chairman of the Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC), this concrete cable-stayed bridge has a width of 24.5 meters and a total length of approximately 824 meters. It has three lanes, a motorcycle lane and a pedestrian path. The construction of this bridge has been warmly welcomed and expected by local residents.
