He expects that the arrival of these Korean tourists will attract more international tourists, and by the end of 2023, Cambodia will be ready to welcome tourists from all over the world.

According to reports from Siem Reap International Airport, in the seven days from September 27 to October 3, more than 1,100 foreign passengers entered Siem Reap every day, and there were an average of 13 flights from abroad every day. Xinchan Serewutai, deputy state secretary and spokesperson of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation of Cambodia, said that currently, about 12 to 13 passenger planes land at Cambodia International Airport every day, and the number of passengers received by Siem Reap International Airport every day is between 1,000 and 1,500. .

Most of the destinations connected by Cambodia’s international airport are in the ASEAN region, including Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia.

It is worth mentioning that in the first eight months of 2023, Cambodia received approximately 3.5 million international tourists. Cambodia is expected to receive approximately 4.5 million to 5 million international tourists throughout 2023.
