[INNEWS Comprehensive Report] On August 18, the Phnom Penh Municipal Government announced that in order to successfully hold the seventh National Congress, it will ban traffic on the roads leading to the conference venue from 5 am on August 21 to 22.
Road sections that are prohibited include: National Assembly Street (from the roundabout of Chuon Nath to the Russian Embassy traffic light). 2. Section of Samdech Heng Samrin Street (from Samdech Bun Sen Street to National Assembly Street). 3. Street 78 (from Samdech Hun Sen Street to National Assembly Street). 4. The new road section is called JICA Road (from Tonle Toch Street to National Assembly Street).
Senior dignitaries of the Kingdom of Cambodia, diplomats and representatives of some non-governmental organizations were also invited to attend this historic meeting. After the opening ceremony of the first session of the National Congress, the first session of the Seventh National Congress will be chaired by Han Sanglin, and the following agendas will be approved: first, to determine the validity of the powers of each member of Congress; second, to approve the internal regulations of the seventh National Congress.
In addition, at 8:00 am on August 22, 2023, the first session of the Seventh National Congress will continue to elect the chairman, vice-chairmen, chairmen and vice-chairmen of various special committees of the National Assembly, and vote for members of the Royal Government.
