[INNEWS Comprehensive Report] On the morning of September 21, Ngov Sengkak, director of the Siem Reap Provincial Tourism Bureau, said that at least 1,000 domestic and foreign tourists visited and photographed the spectacular sunrise at the top of Angkor Wat.

It is reported that the sunrise at the top of Angkor Wat will appear again from September 21 to 23, between 4 am and 6 pm every day. This natural wonder is the sun rising directly on the tallest tower in the middle of the five towers of Angkor Wat, attracting the attention of countless tourists. Observers standing in front of the west gate of Angkor Wat can clearly witness this magical scene.

A Cambodian professional photographer told reporters that he came all night from Phnom Penh and arrived at 4 a.m. to wait for the sunrise on the top of Angkor Wat just for this rare view.

It is understood that this spectacle is not a coincidence, but the crystallization of the wisdom of the Khmer ancestors. They have been preparing to cooperate with this natural phenomenon in their construction thousands of years ago, creating the magnificent scene of the sunrise appearing on the spire of Angkor Wat. As one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Angkor Wat attracts a large number of tourists every year.

The magnificent sunrise at the top of Angkor Wat appears twice a year, once in March-April and again in September.
