Kep Provincial Department of Tourism director Som Chenda said that this year’s Sea Festival will be held in Kep Province in the third week of December (expected from December 17 to 23), and will attract countless domestic and foreign tourists to watch.
Som Chenda added that this event will not only inject new vitality into the economic development of the province, but will also bring many benefits to the local people.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia recently officially promulgated the “Kep Tourism Development Master Plan 2023-2035”, which is committed to building this coastal city into a domestic boutique tourist destination.
It is understood that this year is the 10th Sea Festival in Cambodia. Every year, the Sea Festival is held in rotation in neighboring provinces, including Kep, Kampot, Sihanoukville and Koh Kong provinces.
Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Cambodia chapter chairman Thourn Sinan said that the Sea Festival will further enhance the tourism potential of Kep Province and even Cambodia as a whole, and push the economic growth of the province to a new level.
In addition, Thourn Sinan also pointed out that the Sea Festival will help attract more domestic and foreign tourists to Cambodia.
