“Cambodia Airways Launches New Direct Flight: Phnom Penh ⇌ Jinan

At 8:20 AM on January 27, 2024, Phnom Penh time, Cambodia Airways Flight KR911 from Phnom Penh to Jinan took off on schedule. The flight landed smoothly at Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport at 2:00 PM Beijing time, marking the official launch of the regular passenger service between Phnom Penh and Jinan.

At 2:30 PM, the inaugural ceremony was held at Jinan Airport. Representatives from Jinan’s port and logistics office, customs, border control, Jinan’s Entry-Exit Administration, Shandong Airport Group, and Jinan Airport attended the ceremony to celebrate the new route.

Additionally, a 27-member delegation consisting of well-known Cambodian travel agencies and media representatives arrived in Jinan on the same flight, receiving a warm welcome from Shandong. The delegation is scheduled to undertake an eight-day extensive tour of Jinan, Tai’an, Jining, Qufu, Weifang, and Zhangqiu, arranged by the Shandong Provincial Culture and Tourism Bureau. This tour aims to experience firsthand the folk culture and scenic spots of the Shandong region in China, and vividly showcase the charm of the Qi-Lu land to Cambodian society.

Outbound

Flight KR911 departs Phnom Penh at 08:20 AM,

arriving in Jinan at 2:00 PM;

Return

Flight KR912 departs Jinan at 3:00 PM,

arriving at 6:55 PM.

The Phnom Penh ⇌ Jinan route is Cambodia Airways’ third direct round-trip service in East China, following the Phnom Penh ⇌ Wenzhou and Phnom Penh ⇌ Fuzhou routes. The launch of this route not only fills the gap in direct flights between Cambodia and Shandong Province but also opens a new chapter in economic and cultural exchanges between the land of Qi-Lu and the Kingdom of Cambodia. It provides a more convenient option for passengers traveling between the two regions for business, tourism, family visits, and education, and contributes to the active implementation and promotion of the ‘2024 Cambodia-China Cultural Exchange Year.’
